Courtney McCabe
I believe that ‘being an artist’ includes expressing the ‘artist’ within you. My name is Courtney McCabe and I live in Berwick, Pennsylvania. I was born in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania (March 1st, 1989) and have always had a strong desire to draw, create and transform ideas. Having my work displayed at Bloomsburg University at the early age of seven years old, it was then that my teachers and family started to recognize my inner art abilities.
Growing up, I started to gain a reputation of being a “good artist”. Throughout school I’ve earned multiple certificates and achievments from the school districts and was also nominated and won “Most Artistic” my High School Senior year. I plan on earning an Associates Degree in Painting and Illustration Specialization at Luzerne County Community College (LCCC). I would then like to continue my degree with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Education. My primary goal is to become an art teacher.
Aside from that, I enjoy being outdoors, playing pool, skateboarding and simply enjoy “being a kid at heart”. I have been given the privilege to create a design for a mural at the local YMCA in Berwick, Pennsylvania which is pretty exciting to me.
