Kristin Turberville Haffey

First and foremost, I have a wonderful and supportive family. I love spending time with my husband and step-son, and I look forward to meeting our little one on the way.

I love creating whimsical artwork!

In the summer of 2010, I was asked to be one of the artists involved in creating the Alley Art mural in Euclid Alley, Berwick , PA. My 40’ long section shows an Irish countryside, complete with a castle, sheep, and a dragon!

Part of the text on my section of the mural says, “Don’t be afraid to use your imagination.” I mean it! Too many adults loose the magic of their childhood by being too serious – too literal. I think you’ll find that life is much more fun and adventurous when you use a little creativity.

Currently, I have an Esty shop, where I hope to expand a line of designs for children’s rooms/nurseries. I am also illustrating a children’s book, in addition to taking on some commissioned work for magazines.

Earlier this year, I participated in The Sketchbook Project Tour, 2011.

In the past, I was published in various magazines and books, including Rooftop Sessions III and IV (these two books were collections of short stories), Aviva Rothschild’s With Strings Attached, and Octopus’s Garden.

I graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Art Studio in 2006.
